THE Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding with the Dublin Chamber Of Commerce, Ireland, to establish closer cooperation for investments opportunities.
The visiting Irish delegate, Mr Jean Hoey, Director of Business Development, Dublin Chamber of Commerce, and Mr Anant R. Koppar, President, BCIC, signed the MoU.
"This MoU is based on the mutual desire to establish closer contacts between us and the Dublin Chamber and recognises the immense possibilities of improving economic and commercial ties between Karnataka and Ireland.
"It also aims to derive the fullest benefit of the changing economic environment to promote private initiatives", said Mr Anant Koppar.
The BCIC and the Dublin Chamber will exchange regularly market information about the economic development of Karnataka and Ireland for opening up further possibilities for increased exchange of trade between them and for the expansion of economic and industrial co-operation between the enterprises and organisations concerned.
The two chambers will exchange publications on the existing laws and regulations pertaining to foreign trade and investment.
