Aztec to invest Rs 50 cr more in Hyderabad

AZTEC Software Ltd has announced plans to invest Rs 50 crore in Hyderabad operations, grow to about 250 people this year and possibly to a 1,500-people facility within next three-four years.

The Hyderabad product development centre was inaugurated on Monday by the Managing Director of Microsoft India R&D centre, Mr Srini Koppolu. The Chief Executive Officer, Mr V. Chandrasekaran, said this growth would be in addition to the 1,500-person centre in Pune to be ready towards the summer of 2006 and a 700-person additional facility in Bangalore that would be ready later in 2006.

The Vice-President and Head of Indian Business for Aztec Software, Mr Srinivasan Chandrasekar, said Aztec provided product development and testing services to many Fortune 50 companies and planned to add new streams of embedded software and wireless solutions to its range of services.
