NEW DELHI: The Prannoy Roy-promoted NDTV has recorded 29.5 per cent growth in revenues at Rs 68.89 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2005.

The net profit after tax and before ESOP stood at Rs 14.12 crore, compared to Rs 63 lakh recorded in the second quarter and Rs 15.25 crore in the same quarter last year. ESOPs worth Rs 11.47 crore were given to NDTV employees; the profit after tax and ESOPs stood at Rs 2.65 crore.

New channels: Meanwhile, the company is looking at selling stake in its Web site and launching new channels. In a conference call with analysts on Monday, Dr Roy said, "There is a lot of interest for a strategic stake in ndtv.com, and we are weighing the option of unlocking value in it right now, or six months down the line."

The company also entered the radio broadcasting space after it bought out the licences for Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata from the Living Media group, along with Malaysia's Astro and Hyderabad-based Value Labs.
