Software Wipro Infotech sets up remote centre in Mysore Our Bureau
Bangalore , Jan. 18 WIPRO Infotech has set up a network operations centre in Mysore to offer remote infrastructure management services to its clients in the domestic market, said Mr Suresh Vaswani, President, Wipro Infotech. The company offers infrastructure management services to about 200 customers by managing their IT operations onsite. "We are in talks with several customers to migrate from onsite to the remote mode, and the response is encouraging," he said. The network operations centre in Mysore employs 200 people at present, which the company expects to scale up to 1,000 over the next few quarters, said Mr Vaswani. Wipro Infotech has some 5,000 people handling infrastructure management services throughout the country. "Handling infrastructure management services remotely helps us improve the business service level agreements and gives the advantage of quality delivery to customers," he said. Infrastructure management is one of the fastest growing areas of Wipro Infotech and accounts for close to 10 per cent of the division's revenues.
