BANGALORE: Hewlett-Packard has announced the availability of HP StorageWorks Data Protector Express Software, a secure data back-up and recovery solution for small and medium businesses.

Data Protector Express works on three operating systems: Windows, Linux and NetWare. It supports tape, disk and optical devices as the backup media.

Additional features of the product include open file backup, disk-to-disk-to-any backup and bare metal disaster recovery for minimising the impact of backup and recovery operations.
