Bangalore , Jan. 19

ING Vysya Bank has tied up with Euronet Services Pvt Ltd, an electronics payments provider, for opening 200 "Self Help" outlets across the country.

Speaking to reporters here, the ING Vysya country head for Retail Banking, Mr Santanu Ghosh, said the agreement with Euronet was a multi-year one for strengthening the retail reach. The regions covered through such "self help" outlets include Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and across the country by 2007, he said. Initially the bank proposed to have 12 such "self help" outlets in Bangalore city, over a three-week period.

The "self help" concept, Mr Ghosh said, was being adopted in the country for the first time. This arrangement offered seated kiosks to customers.

Such kiosks, located next to the bank's ATMs, would be accessible to customers all the time.

Mr Ghosh said that the bank had also decided to strategically depute certified advisors of ING Vysya Financial Services for Wealth Management services.
