ISMT nets Rs 29 cr profit

MUMBAI: The Pune-based ISMT Ltd has reported a net profit of Rs 29 crore for the third quarter of the current fiscal.

However, the performance cannot be compared to the previous year, as ISMT is now a merged entity.

Gross revenues stood at Rs 462 crores and net sales at Rs 274 crore. Increasing presence in the international market and the focus on improved product mix helped the company to grow its top line and bottom line. Exports of tubes accounted for 26 per cent of the sales.

"The sustained improvement in our order book position is an indicator of how the future would unfold for us and we have, already, started the ground work for putting together a plan that would give us sustained growth in the years to come,'' the company said in a news release.

For the nine-month period, the net profit stood at Rs 84.05 crore.
