New Delhi , Jan. 22

LIBERTY Shoes Ltd has said it would be setting up an ancillary unit for manufacturing shoe components and accessories. "Though the location of the plant has not yet been decided, the plant could be in Uttaranchal or elsewhere," a company spokesperson said.

The company is also setting up a new footwear manufacturing facility in Uttaranchal. The plant has a capacity to produce 12 lakh pairs of shoes per annum for which the company would be investing around Rs 20 crore.

The company's board of directors is exploring the possibility of restructuring of the company. The company will also avail itself of the additional working capital limit sanctioned by Corporation Bank.
