Emami Q3 net up 38 pc at Rs 19 cr

EMAMI Ltd, the personal and healthcare products company, has recorded a growth of around 38 per cent in net profit at Rs 19.09 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2005, against Rs 13.85 crore in the corresponding quarter of 2004-05. Net sales were at Rs 105.2 crore (Rs 73.90 crore).

The company, flagship of the Rs 600-crore Emami Group of companies, for the nine-month period ended December 31, 2005, has recorded a PAT of Rs 33.50 crore, up from Rs 23.68 crore for the same period of previous fiscal, a growth of 41 per cent. Net sales for the nine-month period were at Rs 203.68 crore (Rs 159.52 crore). For the year ended March 31, 2005, net sales were at Rs 218.85 crore, and the PAT was Rs 29.44 crore.
