Another day begins for fishermen at Veli on the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram. As the cities and towns in the State grow, inland waterbodies like Veli Lake are either getting more and more polluted or fast being reclaimed for housing and tourism projects, threatening the livelihood of thousands of fishermen.
