Record Jan deliveries on NCDEX

MUMBAI: January contracts on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) saw record deliveries of contracts.

Out of the 20 commodities delivered on the exchange, 11 commodities saw the open interest to deliveries ratio of above 80 per cent. The exchange has seen highest delivery record of 50,302 tonnes, an exchange release said. The exchange saw deliveries in 11 commodities touch new heights.

Deliveries in channa (2,750 tonnes), guarseed (580 tonnes), gur (120 tonnes), jeera (2,412 tonnes), maize (100 tonnes), pepper (1,543 tonnes), rubber (13 tonnes), sugar M (14,510 tonnes), soyabean (3,000 tonnes), yellow peas (950 tonnes) and cotton-medium staple (1,49,600 kg) broke previous records.
