Sundaram Brake posts Rs 2.22 crore net

SUNDARAM Brake Linings Ltd has reported a net profit of Rs 2.22 crore on sales of Rs 34.22 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005 against a profit of Rs 2.60 crore on sales of Rs 33.19 crore for the same period last year.

Domestic sales were Rs 21.78 crore (Rs 19.53 crore) and exports Rs 12.44 crore (Rs 13.65 crore).

The board of directors has declared an interim dividend of Rs 5 a share (50 per cent).

For the first nine months of this financial year, the company's net profit was Rs 7.20 crore on sales of Rs 106.07 crore compared with a net profit of Rs 7.95 crore on sales of Rs 100.45 crore for the corresponding period last year.
