Chennai , Jan. 25

THE $59-billion human resource outsourcing market (HRO) is still at a nascent stage, according to Mr Ranjan Sinha, Chairman and CEO, Summit HR Worldwide. Summit HR, which has on its rolls clients such as Cisco, Sun Microsystems, Visa and T-mobile, provides end-to-end human resource outsourcing solutions both for service providers and firms in the US through its centres in Chennai.

Some of the services that Summit provides are contingent staffing, recruitment process outsourcing and payrolling. Mr Sinha said that the areas that are most beneficial are payroll management, recruitment, benefits administration and managing IT systems for HR-related processes.

Mr Sinha said that the company caters to service providers in the US that cater to medium sized companies. He said that in 2005, the company filled 7,000 positions across companies in the US.

In addition, Mr Sinha said that it processed 1.2 million pay cheques. He said that in 2006, the company hopes to increase this number to around 1.5 million pay cheques. He said that at the end of 2005, the company had 180 people working at the Chennai centres, and will look to have 325 by the end of 2006.
