Team Computers to open offices in US, UK

Moumita Bakshi Chatterjee

New Delhi , Jan. 25

DELHI-BASED IT solution provider Team Computers has said it plans to set up offices in New York and London this year to offer remote management of business intelligence (BI) applications.

"We will be opening an office in New York next quarter and in London by December this year, for remote management of BI applications. The sales and pre-sales functions, as well as Tier I support, will happen out of these onsite locations, while the delivery will happen from India," Mr Ranjan Chopra, Chairman and Managing Director of Team Computers, said here.

The company — which employs close to 1,000 people and operates from 45 locations in the country — has entered into a tie-up with QlikTech from Sweden, for implementing business intelligence software. "We will act as distributors and Value Added Resellers for their BI solutions which takes data from disparate sources and presents it in a dashboard format, enabling complex analysis," Mr Chopra said.

The solution is targeted at call centres, FMCG companies, retail firms and even hospitals. "We have bagged three customers in the last three months including Apollo Tyres, and are running proof of concepts in 32 places," he said, adding that the company was also using the BI software for its own offices.

The solution can be deployed anywhere within 2-4 weeks. It is priced at about Rs 5 lakh for a starter pack, and can go up Rs 25-40 lakh depending on the size of deployment.
