IT Kerala 2006 from Jan 31

THE country's second largest IT event, IT Kerala 2006, will be held here from January 31 - February 4 at the Infopark, where over 100 participants are likely to take part.

Technology giants such as TCS, Intel, Infosys, L&T, Tulip IT Services, NeST, IBS, Accel Frontline, Bharati, Reliance, Sutherland, Progeon, HP, Dell, ICICI One Source, 24/7 Customer Care, US Technology, Rittal India are participating, an official release here said.

The events would be in three halls. The HRHQ Job Mart, which will house about 18 companies, who are giants in the IT/ITES field, will attract 25,000 job seekers from across Kerala and from neighbouring States. Elaborate arrangements have been made to conduct smooth recruitment by the companies.

"This is the first time, Kerala after the ITES Habitat initiative, which was intended at providing training programme for the aspiring candidates for the BPO sector, is now opening this knowledge society for companies to come and recruit," the State IT Secretary, Mr P. H. Kurien, said.

Connect Biz pavilion will host many companies including IT majors such as Insosys, Oracle, Intel, Microsoft, NeST, IBS besides a host of other companies will be exhibiting the latest technology in the ICMT sector to the business community.

The `Business to Business' pavilion is a true showcase of Kerala's growing IT cluster and Kerala as a consumer for technology. "Today, all the IT majors are looking at Kerala as a destination and this participation shows their genuine interest", Mr Kurien added.

A Digital Lifestyle Expo will also be held aimed at bringing together major giants and the digital citizens of Kerala true interactive platform for showcase and test marketing.

"Kerala is a true consumer of latest technology in lifestyle and work. This showcase intends to show the potential of Kerala market to the ICMT giants', Mr K.G. Girish Babu, CEO, Infopark, said.

ICT 4 All Expo, the first interactive expo ever organised in India, which showcases IT power of digital governance and make citizens life better, will also be held.
