MRO Tek posts Rs 4.6-cr net

MRO Tek, a network access products company on Wednesday announced an interim dividend of Rs 1.25 (25 per cent) per share of Rs 5.

The decision, taken by the board of directors at a meeting, comes in the wake of the company's improved financial performance during the nine months of its current fiscal.

It made a net profit of Rs 4.6 crore for the third quarter of current fiscal as against a net loss of Rs 79 lakh for the corresponding period of 2004.

Its revenue for the period also recorded a jump by 37 per cent at Rs 37.91 crore (Rs 27.59 crore) during the October-December quarter.

The total profit for the nine-month period ended December 31, 2005 stood at Rs 12.50 crore, as against Rs 2.09 crore for the period during 2004.

The revenues during the nine months also went up by 25 per cent to Rs 111.50 crore from Rs 88.75 crore.

Stating the challenge in communication was the last mile network, Mr S. Narayanan, Chairman and Managing Director, said, "We are positioned ideally through our R&D and in-depth understanding of changing scenarios to deliver the last mile access solutions to the market."
