Chennai , Jan. 26

HEXAWARE Technologies Ltd will construct a 27-acre campus at Siruseri Information Technology Park, near Chennai, at a cost of Rs 350 crore. When fully ready the facility can accommodate over 11,000 employees, according to Mr Atul Nishar, Chairman, Hexaware.

The campus is to be built in three phases. The first phase to be completed in January next year will cover 4.50 lakh sq. ft and accommodate around 3,000 employees. An investment of Rs 100 crore will be spent in the first phase. The remaining two phases will be completed in five years and will have a built up area of 3.50 lakh sq. ft each, he said.

The IT and business process outsourcing company will move employees from its city centres to the new campus, which is developed by architects Team 3 of Singapore. At present, it has about 1,300 employees working in the city, and the new campus would provide job opportunities to over 9,000 employees in the next five years, he told newspersons.

"We feel this is a realistic. I cannot give any projections," Mr Nishar said when asked whether business would be proportionate to the intake of employees. "We expect consistent good growth over the next few years," he said.
