MicroWorld warns of Nyxem worms

L.N. Revathy

Coimbatore , Jan. 27

IF no significance had been attached to the third day of the month yet, be cautioned. MicroWorld has warned computer users of the possible spread of email worms `Nyxem-D' and `Nyxem-E,' which are variants of the `Worm.Win32.VB.bi' on the third day of every month.

MicroWorld has said that the experts examining the code found that Nyxem worked with a timer `to strike every month on a precise day and work the same way.' The mass-mailing worm is expected to strike on February 3.
