Marginal rise in Novartis net

MUMBAI: Novartis India has posted a marginal increase in its net profit at Rs 23 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005, compared to Rs 21.8 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2004.

Total income has increased from Rs 140.8 crore in the third quarter of FY 2004-05 to Rs 145.4 crore in the three months under review.

Profits during the quarter were impacted by non-recurring costs and also pressure on margins, a company communication said.
