Nasscom summit from Feb 15-17

THE National Association of Software and Service (Nasscom) today announced that it would host its annual event `Nasscom India Leadership Forum 2006' from February 15-17 in Mumbai.

The three-day summit will showcase the strengths of the IT-ITES industry while outlining its future prospects and opportunities. This congregation of leaders will include a number of Fortune 500 companies that have a strong presence in India and are clients customers of Indian IT firms, a Nasscom release said here.

The summit will see the presence of leading CIOs including Mr Erik R. Viens, V-P and Global CIO, Invista; Mr Paul Coby, CIO, British Airways; and Mr Richard Granger, Director General, NHS IT. These CIOs will debate on issues such as drivers of competitiveness, best practices from successful companies, key challenges in large multi-year global sourcing deals, third generation outsourcing, the rise of outsourcing in the Indian IT market, and the role of technology in business processes improvement and globalisation.

Mr Dennis McGuire, Chairman and Founder of global sourcing advisory firm TPI, will be part of the CEO panel.
