Our Bureau

HYDERABAD: The Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists will organise a five-day conference, Dermacon - 2006, in Hyderabad, beginning February 1.

Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, Chief Minister, will inaugurate the conference on February 2 at Shilpakala Vedika Convention Centre in Madhapur. The workshop, however, will begin on February 1, where various issues related to dermatology would be discussed.

Several papers would be presented during the workshop, Dr V Gowri, Organising Secretary, said.

Addressing a press conference here, she said the conference was being held here after a gap of 24 years. "We will also educate the public on the preventive aspects, while striving to eradicate problems like leprosy, sexually transmitted infections and HIV/AIDS," she said.
