Jayshree Chem ceases to be sick; clocks Rs 1.37 cr net

JAYSHREE Chemicals Ltd, a manufacturing outfit of the S.K. Bangur Group, has ceased to be a sick industrial company following the Board for Industrial And Financial Reconstruction (BIFR) discharging it from the purview of Sick Industrial Companies (Special Provisions) Act, 1985, vide its order on December 2005.

Meanwhile, the company has earned a net profit of Rs 1.37 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005, against Rs 60 lakh for the corresponding period last year.

Profit before tax for the nine-months ended December 31, 2005, has risen to Rs 9.28 crore and the EPS for the nine- months ended of the same year has been Rs 17.35 before adjustment of deferred tax.

The company's working during the period has been satisfactory and there has not been any disruption of production during this period, according to Jayshree source.
