Real Estate & Construction Ansal Properties Q3 net up 57 pc Our Bureau
NEW DELHI: Real estate company Ansal Properties and Infrastructure Ltd posted a 57 per cent rise in its net profit for the third quarter ended December 2005 at Rs 8.78 crore compared with Rs 5.58 crore in the corresponding previous year period. During the quarter in reference, the company's income from operations increased to Rs 66.69 crore from Rs 40.26 crore in the year-ago period, a company statement said here. "Currently, APIL has substantial real estate projects in hand amounting to over Rs 10,000 crore thereby assuring of increasing profitability for the future years," the release said. For the nine months ended December 2005, the profit after tax increased to Rs 26.32 crore from Rs 9.22 crore in the year ago period, reflecting a growth of 185 per cent. Its total income for the nine months period recorded a growth of 91 per cent to Rs 223.96 crore as against Rs 117.11 crore in the corresponding period ended on December 2004. "In addition, the earning per share (EPS) for the nine months ended December 2005 has increased from Rs 7.90 to Rs 15.04, an increase of around 90 per cent," it added.
