Cummins India net sales up 31 pc in third quarter

Pune , Feb. 1

IN the unaudited financial results for the quarter ended December 2005, the board of directors of Cummins India Ltd announced a 31 per cent increase in net sales to Rs 389.8 crore compared with Rs 296.8 crore in the same period last year.

The profit before tax during the quarter increased to 55 per cent to Rs 69.6 crore from Rs 45 crore for the same period last year.

Based on the current performance of the company and the plans for the year, the board of directors have also recommended an interim dividend of 100 per cent of the share capital.
