Kolkata , Feb. 1

THE West Bengal Governor, Mr Gopalkrishna Gandhi, has cautioned about the continuing economic disparities in the country which, if not addressed immediately, could disturb national peace and harmony and affect the growth projections of the country.

Addressing the 118th foundation day celebration of Bengal National Chamber of Commerce and Industry here, Mr. Gandhi said, "We appreciated Mutiny in Royal Indian Navy but we do not want mutinies in Independent India. We want peace."

Describing industry as the new leaders of Indian society, the Governor urged entrepreneurs to address this divide in due course.
