HFCL back in black

NEW DELHI: Himachal Futuristic Communications Ltd (HFCL) has reported a net profit of Rs 29.86 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2005, compared with a loss of Rs 16.93 crore in the year-ago period, the company said.

The turnover was up at Rs 170 crore, driven by the increase in demand from customers of telecom equipment and turnkey services.

HFCL's margins at all levels have improved significantly owing to aggressive cost control measures as well as strong revenue growth. The Corporate Debt Restructuring programme has restructured the debt and interest payments. Order book stands at over Rs 800 crore.
