Nalsar team wins India round of moot court contest

STUDENTS of NALSAR (National Academy of Legal Studies and Research) University of Law emerged winners at the Indian round of the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competitions held in Chennai recently.

Forty teams from all over the country participated. The Nalsar team competed with the defending champion National Law School of India University, Bangalore, and ILS Law College Pune and marched into finals.

Four sitting judges of Madras High Court and former Judge of the International Court of Justice, Dr P.C. Rao, presided over Bench of the Moot Court in the final competition, according to a Nalsar press release.

The Nalsar team comprised Anuradha Agnihotri, Rohan Kaul (both Final Year) and Raghav Shankar of the Fourth Year B.A.L.,LL.B. course. They will represent India in international rounds of moot court competition to be held in Washington DC.

The Phillip C Jessup International Law Moot Court competition is the biggest International Moot Court Competitions in the world. The Nalsar has represented India in these competitions earlier also, the release said.
