Record unloading of coking coal in Vizag

Visakhapatnam , Feb. 2

A RECORD quantity of 29,390 tonnes of coking coal of Steel Authority of India Ltd was unloaded from m.v. Yong Feng at the general cargo berth with the help of two floating cranes on Tuesday, surpassing the previous best of 28,315 tonnes achieved on December 15, 2005.

According to a press release issued by the Visakhapatnam Port Trust, the port railways has also achieved the highest average loading of 1,884.2 wagon units per day as against the average loading of 1,818.7 wagon units per day in December.
