`Technopreneur' lecture sessions in Kochi

KEEPING in mind the growing corporate aspirations of the new generation of engineers, the Model Engineering College, Thrikkakara, has organised `Technopreneur 2006' in Kochi.

The event, organised in association with Young Indians, the social wing of CII, has seven-hour lecture sessions, extending between Thursday and Friday.

Inaugurating the programme, Dr Ravi Kothari, Research Scientist, IBM Research Labs, spoke at length on data mining in the Distinguished Lectures Programme.

Prof Jyothi John, Principal of Model Engineering College was present on the occasion.

Mr S. Gopalakrishnan, Founder Director and Chief Operating Officer of Infosys, is expected to enlighten the students on the challenges and rewards of entrepreneurship. The young minds are also to be introduced to one of the youngest CEOs, Mr Suhas Gopinath of Global Inc.

Mr R.C. Dutt, Consultant and Advisor to Technopark, and Mr Jayadev Gopalakrishnan, CEO of Tinfomobile, are also expected to address the sessions.

Toonz India will take the participants through the whole gamut of creating world-class animation products suited to the specific demands of customers from all parts of the world.
