GR Cables Q3 profit up

HYDERABAD: GR Cables plans a major diversification into higher range of cables. It is also participating in the upcoming tenders of the AP Transco and Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd.

In a press release, the company said it posted a net profit of Rs 32 lakh for the quarter ended December 31, 2005, as compared to Rs 16 lakh for the corresponding quarter last year. The net sales has increased 38 per cent to Rs 775 lakh during the quarter under review (Rs 560 lakh).
