Hutch launches Mobile shop in Kolkata

Kolkata , Feb. 3

CELLULAR service provider Hutch on Friday launched a Mobile Hutch Shop here in Kolkata. Four more Mobile Hutch Shops would be launched within the next 5-6 months, Mr Sridhar Rao, CEO of Hutchison Telecom East Ltd, told newspersons here on Friday.

Mr Rao said the Mobile Hutch Shop would provide convenience and online customer service to Hutch customers in Kolkata. It would provide an array of services such as postpaid bill payments, new postpaid connections, prepaid to postpaid migration, new prepaid connections, roaming activation/deactivation, requests for plan change, etc.

"It is a one-stop solution for all customer needs," Mr Rao said, and added that the Mobile Hutch Shop was a true representation of wire-free technology as it was equipped with online connectivity to the billing systems through the GPRS/EDGE service. This would ensure that all account information for existing customers would be available to Hutch Care Executives, thereby enabling them to provide online service solutions.
