Mangalore airport operations normal

MANGALORE: Normal operations at Mangalore airport were not affected despite members of the Airports Authorities of India Employees' Joint Forum (AAIEJF) participating in the nationwide strike. The strike entered third day on Friday.

The Airport Director, Mangalore, Mr M.R. Vasudeva, told Business Line that operations were normal at the airport. The services of the city fire brigade and the fire service division of Kudremukh Iron Ore Company Ltd were used on the third day.

Though the personnel belonging to non-executive cadre are attending the strike, those belonging to executive cadre are not participating in it.
