Man Ind net at Rs 7.83 cr

MUMBAI: Man Industries (India) Ltd, a manufacturer and exporter of SAW pipes and aluminium extrusion, has reported higher net profit at Rs 7.83 crore for the December 2005 quarter against Rs 5.64 crore in the year-ago period.

Total income for the quarter moved up to Rs 206.49 crore (Rs 133.13 crore).

The company said its new SAW plant at Anjar, Gujarat, contributed significantly to the third quarter performance.

For the nine-months period, the company has recorded a turnover of Rs 509.63 crore (Rs 292.94 crore).

Net profit moved up to Rs 23.05 crore (Rs. 15.06 crore) for the year-ago period.

The company said its order book stood at Rs 1,050 crore.
