Finnair to fly non-stop to New Delhi

FINNAIR, the national carrier of Finland, is to introduce non-stop scheduled service between New Delhi and Helsinki from November.

The proposed thrice-weekly service will be operated with MD11 aircraft. Each flight can carry up to 20 tonnes of cargo and the airline hopes to handle an estimated 180 tonnes of cargo per month between New Delhi and Helsinki. Since Finnair is well-connected from its Helsinki hub to Scandinavia and the CIS countries, the proposed service is to benefit Indian exporters to northern Europe.
