Wheat down on stockists selling

New Delhi: Wheat prices declined to close moderately lower in the wholesale grains market on Monday on stockists selling.

Wheat dara (for mills) turned weak and prices were down by Rs 15 at Rs 955-990 per quintal, while wheat MP (deshi) traded Rs 20 down at Rs 1,130-1,290 a quintal.

Mumbai: RBD Palmolein and refined soya oil firmed up on the local edible oils market on Monday on continued buying interest.

Castor oil also moved up further on some buying. Imported refined soya oil was up Rs 5 at Rs 349 per 10 kg. Groundnut oil raw was steady at Rs 435 per 10 kg on steady Gujarat reports. RBD palmolein was up Rs 4 at Rs 369 per 10 kg.

Castor oil commercial grade was up Rs 2 at Rs 314 per 10 kg. In futures segment, castor seed April contracts were up Rs 16 at Rs 1,491 per quintal.

Sugar: Sugar spot prices ruled steady at the Vashi wholesale market on scattered buying.

Small grade (S-30) was steady at Rs 1,965-2,026 per quintal. Medium grade (M-30) was down Rs 10 at Rs 2,000-2,051 per quintal over previous close.
