IOB hikes NRE deposit rates

Chennai , Feb. 7

INDIAN Overseas Bank has raised its NRE (non-resident external) term deposit rates by 10 basis points with effect from February 1.

The revised rate is 5.70 per cent for deposits accepted for one year to less than five years.

IOB has foreign currency deposits of Rs 5,300 crore. Most of them are mobilised from the bank's branches in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Singapore.
