Scandent Solutions rejigs top brass — Pawar Kumar to head IT strategic business unit

AHEAD of concluding its merger with Cambridge Services LLC, IT services firm Scandent Solutions Ltd has rejigged its top management team bringing on board industry veteran Mr Pawan Kumar to head its IT strategic business unit. Mr Kumar was till recently the Chairman and CEO of vMoksha Technologies, which he founded in 2001.

Scandent also announced the elevation of its current President Mr Dilip Keshu to the newly created corporate position of Chief Strategy and Corporate Development Officer. Mr Keshu in the new role would be reporting to the Executive Chairman and CEO, Mr Chris Sinclair, and would also work closely with Executive Vice-Chairman, Mr Satyen Patel, in developing M&A strategies, exploring strategic alliances, and evaluating options to accelerate growth performance for the merged entity. Scandent expects to conclude the merger with Cambridge by end of the current quarter, said Mr Patel.

The combined entity is targeting revenues of $275 million for fiscal 2006. Mr Patel said the company was also on the lookout for a suitable candidate to head its BPO business.

During a transition period over the next four to six months, Mr Keshu will focus on driving all global sales and marketing activities for Scandent Solutions across all business verticals, and Mr Pawan Kumar will focus on Delivery, Finance, Human Resources and Account Management, he said.

This plan will be seamless to both the customer and organisation.

Mr Pawan Kumar will be based in Scandent Solutions' Bangalore office and Mr Keshu will be based in the company's Princeton office in New Jersey, US.
