Re-look at FBT

Members of Parliament attached to the consultative committee on finance have demanded a re-look at Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT).

The MPs seem very concerned about the loss incurred by the corporate entities that have to pay such taxes! Are they concerned about the taxes paid by the common man?

Are they concerned about the reduction in interest rates on Provident Fund schemes and the like applicable to senior citizens? Are they concerned about the affected millions who rely entirely on interest earnings for their livelihood?
