UK's Aurona to expand gaming operations

Our Bureau

Hyderabad , Feb.7

AURONA Technologies Ltd, a UK-based gaming solutions provider, has announced plans to expand its Hyderabad operations, while playing an anchor role in setting up a local chapter of the International Gaming Developers Association.

Having received two rounds of funding, Aurona has set up offices in Los Angeles and New York, in addition to its development centres in the UK and Hyderabad.

Speaking to Business Line, the Chief Executive Officer of Aurona, Mr Santosh Pillai, said there is a huge demand for gaming professionals and there is hardly any institution that trains people in these skills. Aurona also expects to create a facility that would train people in this area.

"A training facility that covers high-end consoles and 3D gaming would be useful. Other companies such as Microsoft, Jamdat and Gameloft are also likely to partner in this initiative," he explained.
