Set to meet demand

Farmers preparing a land for producing vegetable seeds at Ithalar near Udhagamandalam in Tamil Nadu. The gap between demand and supply for vegetable seeds in the country has decreased on private sectors' participation in hybrid seeds production. Currently, vegetable seed demand is growing 2.65 per cent annually, while supply is rising 4.93 per cent.
