Goa calls for global bids for cruise terminal

THE Goa Government will invite international bids to set up a cruise terminal of international standards with major facilities in its inland waterways.

A core committee set up under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister, Mr Pratapsing Rane, would firm up site for the proposed cruise terminal, appoint consultants of international repute for the proposed project and prepare bid documents, evaluate financial implications and approve environment impact assessment report.

Apart from that, the core committee will also prepare and approve the bid documents of the shortlisted site and also monitor and advise the Government on the progress of works and facilities to be created, said sources in the Inland Waterways Department.
