Events National meet on quality management from March 9-12 Our Bureau
Chennai , Feb. 13 Q Quest '06, the seventh national conference on quality management organised by Anna University, AU TVS Centre for Quality Management and Students Quality Club, will be held from March 9 to 12. Titled `Redefining Beliefs', the event will focus on quality consciousness and on new trends in quality management, according to a release. The event will include programmes such as industrial visits and guest lectures to learn about the requirements of the industry. Other events include a quality management quiz, a business quiz and paper presentation, and offline contests such as case study analysis and essay writing. Prizes worth Rs 15,000 stand to be won. Also, there will be an event titled `Excogitation' exclusively for faculty members, where the participants will showcase their ideas through paper presentations. Apart from the presentations, there will be debates as well. There will also be an open quiz titled `Q Factor' targeted at corporates, presented by Team Pick Brain, a team that has presented close to 500 shows across 24 destinations in India, said the release. The event will also award prizes under five categories to companies that foster a harmonious workplace. Other awards that will be presented to companies include the Best Performing Company Q Quest '06 award, one each for the manufacturing and the service sector.
