Events Convergence India attracts global players Our Bureau
OVER 350 participants from 25 countries are expected to showcase the ICT industry's latest innovations at the 14th Convergence India 2006 scheduled to begin on March 21. The conference brings together industry leaders, investors, government officials and users to discuss the technologies and services of tomorrow. It will also feature presentations and discussions by international experts on the theme `Ushering the ICT Revolution'. There has been an overwhelming response to this year's meet, with global companies like Veraz Networks Inc, ZTE Corporation, UTStarcom Inc, Telsima, Alcatel India Ltd, Ericsson, BSNL, CBOSS, Comverse, Aperto Networks, IBM, Tekelec and Kyocera Wireless (India) Ltd agreeing to participate. MobileComm India, a business-to-consumer show co-organised by the Exhibitions India Group and Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), will highlight mobile technologies. Under a three-year tie-up, COAI and Exhibitions India Group will showcase India's steady ICT growth. The ICT & Network Security India show would feature the largest range of sourcing opportunities, information updates and educational forums, tackling key technology issues that affect business. Over 20 participants from India and overseas including Hewlett Packard, Impetus, BSI Management Systems and Cyberoam, Barracuda, Sonicwall, AMEX, Bindview and Bluecoat have confirmed their presence. The 14th Convergence India 2006 exhibition would showcase the latest technologies in broadband and wireless access, VoIP, optical access networking, 3G and m-commerce.
