MIS bonus

The Government's sudden decision to withdraw the 10 per cent bonus on the Post Office Monthly Income Scheme (MIS) scheme will badly hit small investors.

Most low- and middle-income individuals depend on this scheme for their savings. The Government should seriously re-consider its decision.

The bonus was one reason why I chose to make my deposit.

The post office should consider extending the benefit of the 10 per cent bonus to investors who have been caught unawares.
