Our Bureau

New Delhi , Feb. 15

INFRASTRUCTURE company DS Constructions has said that it has bagged the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Project, the longest expressway in the country by Haryana State Industrial Development Corporation (HSIDC) on a build, operate and transfer (BOT) basis.

The project would be constructed at a cost of Rs 1,800 crore through a special purpose vehicle company. The other members of the consortium include the UK-based Apollo Enterprises and the Hyderabad-based Madhucon Projects Ltd.

The special purpose vehicle formed for the project is called KMP Expressways Ltd. The work on this project would commence from February, and is slated to be completed in 42 months.

The concession period for the project is 23 years and 9 months, a release said here.

The Expressway assumes significance because it would connect four of the most important industrial centres in Haryana, and intersect four of the busiest National Highways: NH-1 near Kundli (Sonipat), NH-10 at near Bahadurgarh, NH-8 at Manesar (Gurgaon) and NH-2 near Palwal (Faridabad).
