Infosys partners Spirit Aero

BANGALORE: Infosys has partnered with the US-based Spirit AeroSystems, an aircraft structure supplier, to set up an engineering centre in the campus.

The centre will focus on high-end engineering services including product development, design and analysis of airframe structures, engineering change management and stress engineering support, said a release issued by the company. The engineering centre would grow into a global virtual real-time operation for Spirit.

"Infosys is our first Indian engineering partner and the centre at Infosys will play a key role in Spirit's strategic interest in India ," said Mr Bob Waner, Senior Vice-President and Chief Technology Officer, Spirit AeroSystems.

Mr Kris Gopalakrishnan, COO and Deputy Managing Director, Infosys Technologies Ltd, said, "We see the partnership as playing a key role in Infosys' focus on the aerospace industry."
