US airline picks Ramco tool

CHENNAI: Virgin America, a US-based start-up airline, has selected the Maintenance and Engineering (M&E) software solution of Ramco Systems.

The software is to automate the airline's M&E business processes and to integrate them with information technology systems at partner organisations. The software is a Web-centric, browser-based solution built from the ground up using Ramco's VirtualWorks technology, according to information available in the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The Chennai-based Ramco's aviation solution offers end-to-end enterprise software crafted for fleet operators and maintenance, repair and overhaul providers.

Its aviation customers include Indian Airlines, SpiceJet, Air New Zealand, Safe Air, RUAG Aerospace, Petroleum Helicopters, Conair Aviation Group, Columbia Helicopters, Indian Air Force, Eurocopter and AISalam Aircraft Co, information in the BSE says.
