Cabinet gives nod for India-Japan convention protocol

New Delhi , Feb. 16

THE Union Cabinet has given approval to the Protocol for amending the Double Taxation Avoidance Convention (DTAC) between India and Japan.

The first round of negotiations for amending the DTAC was held in Tokyo in February 2005 and the final round was held in New Delhi in October 2005.

An official spokesperson said the agreement would stimulate the flow of capital, technology and personnel from India to Japan and vice-versa.
