NIIT Tech to expand managed services biz

Mumbai , Feb. 16

NIIT Technologies said it is now defining remote infrastructure management as a clear business, and expand in Thailand where its first data centre happens to be located.

The company will be investing $2 million in setting up additional data centre facilities in India to expand its managed services business, said Mr Arvind Thakur, Chief Executive Officer, NIIT Technologies, at a news conference here today.

The managed services business will be headed by Mr Satish Syal, who has been the Chief Information Officer.

The company will offer managedthese services from its data centres in Thailand and India, and extend its services out of Europe and the US, providing global coverage.
