Aptuit buys InfoPro

BANGALORE: Aptuit, a Bangalore-based drug development services company, acquired InfoPro Solutions, an information technology services company that delivers application systems to pharmaceutical and biotechnology customers.

With this acquisition, Aptuit will soon deploy a global, multi-customer, multi-site platform for clients to track drug development projects anywhere in the world, in real time, according to a release issued by the company.

InfoPro Solutions currently employs over 100. Aptuit plans to double this and expand facilities at the InfoPro campus in conjunction with other investments planned in the next few years, the release said.

"The company's revenues will be over $250 million in 2006. It has earmarked $50-$100 million for the purpose of acquisitions in India and will acquire a company that will fit the requirements by the end of the year."
